This is not without ransacking her BBM and Whatsap chat lists. He's wont to this discreet practice anytime she checks into the bathroom to freshen-up.    Looking at the above scenario, one need not to be told as it's evident that the absence of 'trust' is present in Thomas' relationship life with his wife.
